2008, Bring it On

As of March 2008 we have been in business for 2.5 years. The main thing we've learned above all else is taking care of you, the client! You're the main thing, our primary purpose. Without you, none of this would be possible and we would still be wandering the streets of Jacksonville and beyond looking for website work. We've learned that you love it when we answer the phone, return emails, and stay in touch - whether it's good news or bad. We've learned that the best website for you comes when we take your business (after all, no one knows it any better), and capture the essence of it online. So that's what will continue to do in 2008 - answer the phone, listen, communicate, and build you the best website your business has ever had!

Welcome John Lane

Joining Jeff Venn, Ben Williams, Eric Ruch, and Jonathan Ehlen Create Studios brings on John Lane in November 2007

John is a programmer by trade specializing in Flash and Flex development. For those of you who don't know what that is, you can check out the site he's working on full time at www.synclive.com (we didn't build it, but we are helping them maintain it and bring it in house from Big Apple).

Welcome Erica and Jonathan

Joining Jeff Venn and Ben Williams, Create Studios expanded it's expertise in Spring of 2007 to include:

Erica Ruch is an artist and web developer who graduated in 2006 from Montserrat College of Art in Boston. She has an extensive illustration background and specializes in web graphic design, Flash, HTML, and CSS.
Jonathan Ehlen recently graduated from UNF with a Computer Science degree in spring of 2007. His expertise in programming .NET, Microsoft SQL, php, and mySQL allows him to specialize in eCommerce, Content Management Systems, and custom programming projects.

Running the Marathon in 2007

We look at Create as a marathon run, not a sprint. That's why we are growing this year at a steady pace and finding that balance between work and life. Our established client base has allowed us to grow gracefully through word of mouth and referral business. We have also formed strong partnerships with complementary companies such as graphic design firms, marketing firms, and computer networking companies.

All Aboard, this Train is Starting to Move

In March 2006 business took off! In no small part due to BNI. No more begging for work. As Create Web Development Studios grew, part-time help was consulted and then Ben Williams joined the team doing sales and web design. We moved our headquarters to the Tech Center on Belfort Road so we could have a great place to meet with clients and the team. More and more work came in August 2006 and we relied on a tight network of contract web designers and programmers to help Create run more efficiently and handle any unexpected volume of work, while keeping overhead down.

Established in 2005

A Good Idea, a Dash of Inspiration, and Lots of Perspiration

Create Web Development Studios was started in January of 2005 by Jeff Venn, a Jacksonville native and computer science graduate from UNF. After tiring of the constraints and slow movement in a large corporate environment, Jeff had the experience and maturity necessary to launch out on his own. Having worked on the web since the late 90s and harboring a creative passion for web graphic design, Jeff knew building high end professional websites was the way to go. After developing a business plan and moonlighting for six months, Create Studios Inc. was launched full time in October 2005.
